The beautiful packaging and incredible craftsmanship hooked me instantly.

I first discovered The Leather Satchel Co. years ago when they had their Albert Dock store, in Liverpool.

I knew immediately I wanted a bag and decided on a Loch Blue Sporran. As I prefer crossbody bags, I mentioned that I’d like the strap to be a bit longer. To my surprise, the lovely, patient man serving me said, “Hang on, I think I’ve got what’s needed to make a new strap. Can you give me 15–20 minutes?” I came back, and he'd made a new strap for me to the exact length, and I now had my perfect bag and couldn’t believe such incredible service exists!

That lovely, patient man was, of course, Keith! 😁

Since then, I’ve added a patent bullring bag, that I ordered online, and have also bought smaller pieces like notebooks and bookmarks as gifts.

I love this little Owner's community and am constantly amazed by the creativity and beauty of these bags.

I discovered The Leather Satchel Co. about 15 years ago while teaching at a university in Singapore, a quick web search for UK-made leather satchels led me to thier website.

They introduced me to the idea of designing my own bespoke satchel. I placed my first order, and when the bag arrived, I was completely sold.

Since then, I’ve built a vast collection of bags in many sizes and colours: satchels, music cases, totes, and backpacks.

The quality of their craftsmanship, the personal customer service, the quick turnaround, and the active, friendly Owner's Club make owning their bags a truly unique experience.

What sets them apart, is their ethical sourcing and commitment to sustainability, they genuinely care about every aspect of their business, and this is why I haven’t bought a bag from any other company in more than 10 years.

As a self-confessed handbag addict, I stumbled across The Leather Satchel Co. on Instagram and instantly fell in love with their satchels.

When I realised they had a shop at the Albert Dock, in Liverpool at that time, then I knew I had to visit.

For my 40th birthday, I decided to have a custom bag made. I chose red, my favourite colour, and had a flower print added to the front pocket, beautifully copied from a photo I’d taken. To make it truly mine, I had my name embossed inside and a matching keyring crafted. Why not make it one-of-a-kind?

Six and a half years later, my bag is still as good as new. The quality and aftercare surpass any 'designer' company, who mass-produce their bags. Every piece feels special, and owning one makes you part of a little leather satchel cult!
